“Education which does not mould character is absolutely worthless.”
— Mahatma Gandhi
My name is Sheetal Gautam and I am the RE lead at Willow Farm Primary School. As RE Lead, I am passionate about helping children explore big questions about life, belief, and what it means to be human. As a practising Hindu, I believe that God is one and that, at their heart, the world’s major religions share many common principles. Through Religious Education, children learn important values such as compassion, tolerance, respect, and understanding of others. I believe RE plays a vital role in helping pupils develop empathy, think deeply, and appreciate the rich diversity of beliefs in our world.
Our vision for RE is to equip our pupils with key skills, knowledge, understanding and vocabulary of a range of religions and world views, enabling them to develop their ideas, values and identity.
