“Don’t let anyone rob you of your imagination, your creativity, or your curiosity. It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it.”
Mae Jemison, engineer, physician and the first African-American woman in space.

I am Miss Orridge, the Science subject leader. With a degree and a master’s in biomedical sciences, I am passionate about helping children understand the world through science and develop the skills to think, question and explore like scientists.

Our science curriculum is carefully designed to build knowledge and skills progressively, in line with the National Curriculum. Through practical investigations, discussion and hands-on exploration, pupils learn to ask meaningful questions, make predictions, test ideas and explain their thinking clearly and confidently.

Lessons encourage curiosity, resilience and collaboration, supporting pupils to develop strong scientific vocabulary, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By providing a relevant, challenging and enjoyable science curriculum, we aim to nurture confident learners who respect the world around them and recognise the exciting possibilities science offers for the future.
