Willow Farm Primary School

Year 2 - Tigers

Welcome to the Tigers' class! Here are some of the important things you need to know about the class!

Staff in Tigers:

Mr Drew teaches the class on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Mrs Knight teaches the class on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Mr Beet is Willow Farm’s sports coach who teaches each class for PE.

PE:

On PE days, children come to school wearing their PE uniform. We will let you know which days we have PE each term.

Learning in Tigers:

Some of the units of learning that are covered in Year 2 are: Medieval Castles; How Gedling has Changed since my Grandparents were Young; Journeys and Food; How Transport has Changed; and Where we are on Planet Earth.

Homework:

Our regular work includes reading, spellings and maths practise. We all have logins for "Spelling Shed" and "Maths Shed", they are great fun and help us learn. Additionally, we have a homework grid sent out on Seesaw every half-term to term to help support our classwork.

Residential:

Year 2's have a residential experience at the end of the year, which all the children (and staff) love!

Contact Us:

You will get lots more information about what happens in the Tigers via our Seesaw app. You can also message Mr Drew and/or Mrs Knight using this app or using their email addresses:
